OUR HISTORY

Besides having the love for cooking & food,

we studied BBQ from the hard work & inspiration of 1 man.

learning to master the art of BBQ started at a young age of 11 living in Oregon, camping with friends, making fire pits, & the smell of different smoky flavors made us think of food and how amazing it would be to smell & taste those flavors on food.

The day that led me to possibly open a restaurant was that I had an engine to build for my 68 Pontiac GTO. yes, at the age of 17 I had that car & I still have it to this day. That evening we had an engine to build and friends to feed.

I found this concrete cylinder at my buddy’s shop, rolled it over onto a fire pit with pine & willow wood, “ha-ha”, made it into a rotisserie grill, smoked & grilled my first pork butt.

at the age of 18 I realized I wanted to create something different in the state I was born in. North Dakota.
